Eichi almost has the feeling of still being in his dream, as he climbs even the last step and arrives in front of the ruins of the temple. There are oblique beams, remnants of a stone structure – and a little further on, low tombstones, whose contours are wrapped in a light mist rising from the ground.

He crosses the threshold of the Tori and breaks the spell: a rattle trills beside him, making him suddenly jolt and making him tighten his fingers around the handle of his leather case.
He casts a single, last glance at the temple, before smiling and bowing to the night, with a weary nod. He doesn't see two pairs of red eyes glowing in the dark, at that point; not even when he gets up and goes back, re-entering the world of the living.

Another evening, another night, he will come back again.
